Bicycle Bob and the Bike Revolution
Montréal’s network of bicycle paths and the love that Quebeckers have for the bicycle might be completely different today if it weren’t for one exceptional man and his merry bunch of revolutionary cyclists. Bicycle Bob and the Bike Revolution follows the story of Robert Silverman and Claire Morissette, who introduced what appeared to be crazy ideas about sustainable mobility in a world that was, at that time, completely dominated by gas cars. This band of bike misfits used hilarious peaceful protests aimed at rethinking the car’s place at the heart of a gas-guzzling carbon economy and succeeded in orchestrating a complete shift towards the bicycle.
Written by Josh Freed, well-known Montreal columnist and writer, and illustrated by Satoji, this children’s album tells the funny and endearing story of Bob and Claire who profoundly transformed the people around them and revolutionized our daily commute.
